The role of medics, physios and the team doctor in football has become crucial in the modern-day game and the GFF wants to lead the way in the area of football medicine, injuries and sports science.

All GFF’s medical projects are managed by our medical unit under the direction of the Medical Committee, which is made up of 11 elite medical professionals from around the country, most of whom have specialisms in sports medicine, orthopedics and cardiology. The committee has direct access to CAF who is able to provide resources, guidance and advice in what is a very detailed and vast field.

For more information, please visit the CAF medical section here.

Do you want to get involved with a team? Would you like to volunteer? Are you working on a football medicine research project? You are welcome to visit our medical unit at Football House, who will be able to guide you in the right direction.
