GFF President appointed into FIFA Standing Committee

GFF President Lamin Kabba Bajo has received his latest accolade as an appointed member of the FIFA Players’ Status Committee.

Mr Bajo’s appointment is sequel to an integrity test performed by FIFA to ascertain his credibility and to further establish his distinguished status to earn such a pedigree at FIFA. The check was carried out by the Governance Committee in conformity with article 27.5 (d) of the FIFA Governance regulations.

According to FIFA, ‘the Players’ Status Committee (PSC) shall set up and monitor compliance with the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players and determine the status of Players for various FIFA competitions. Its powers of jurisdiction are governed by the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players’.

Mr Bajo will be the first GFF President in recent memory to have achieved such a feat. Kabba’s recent appointment into the FIFA circles has added his distinction to three in world football having earlier been appointed by CAF as a member of the Total Africa Cup of Nations Organising Committee and also as a member of the CAF Reforms Committee.
